Laura Williams has been a health, fitness and wellness writer and editor for more than a decade, leaning heavily on her own expertise in the field to deliver the authority consumers deserve when considering products related to their well-being. She holds a master's degree in exercise science, is a certified exercise physiologist and maintains six additional certifications including those in nutrition, behavioral change and yoga. In addition to her experience as a writer and editor (she has contributed to publications including Prevention, Reader's Digest, Men's Health, Runners World, Bicycling, Verywell Fit, Men's Journal and Thrillist), she has also worked as a professor of exercise science and has managed recreation and aquatic centers across the country. When she's not at her computer, she can be found chasing after her two toddlers and planning her next surf trip to Costa Rica.
