The couple, who share two children together, is reported to have exchanged vows in Anguilla in a small ceremony attended by close friends and family. Photos of the big day show the Oscar nominee suited up in a cream suit while smiling brightly beside Butcher, who wore a strapless lace column gown.

The “Shrek” actor caught fans’ attention when he referred to Butcher as his wife — twice — during a recent appearance on The New York Times podcast “The Interview.”

The couple, who started dating in 2012 and announced their engagement in 2018, share an 8-year-old daughter, Izzy, and a 5-year-old son, Max. Murphy is also a dad to eight other children from a previous relationship.

Murphy revealed on “The Interview” that he relies on Butcher to tell him what’s happening in pop culture. “I’m so out of touch. I used to be so hip, I used to know who everybody was, and now there’s just so much stuff. I ask my wife, “Who’s this person?’” he said.
